Social Work and Psychological services are offered.

SocialWork


Services include services for individuals such as assessment, referral, individual, couple and family therapy, supportive counselling, crisis intervention,and casework advocacy. Group work may include education and support regarding self-esteem, separation and divorce, parenting, young mothers, post-natal depression and men's issues.Major issues clients are facing may be family and relationship difficulties, children's behaviour, parenting issues, separation and divorce, parent/teenager conflict, bereavement, loss and grief, domestic violence/sexual abuse, youth problems, personal distress and crisis and depression, including post-natal depression.

Psychology


Services include assessment, therapy and treatment programs. Problems experienced may include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, eating disorders, pain, coping with physical illness, grief, addictions, personality disorders, childhood abuse, post natal depression, child and adolescent behaviour problems, sexual problems and psychiatric problems. Group work includes meditation, relaxation training and stress management, and healthy eating and lifestyle courses.

Eligibility


Clients may live, work or study in the catchment area for Bentleigh Bayside Community Health. Group programs are open to all persons in the catchment area and sometimes outside those boundaries, according to spaces in the program.

Fees


$8.50 per session for low income families, including Health Care Card holders, $10.00 per session for medium income families, fee-for-service for high income families.
