Service Description:
The Occupational Therapy Service provides advice, assistance and equipment to maintain independent living at home and maximize to the community.
Clinical Services:
- Home Visiting
- Advocacy and assistance in accessing services
- Information
- Referral to other agencies
- Group sessions - Planned Activity Groups, Paediatric motor skills group
- Health education such as back care, falls prevention
- Health Promotion
- Counseling
-assessment for home safety
-modifications eg to home or car
-equipment prescription
-community access eg shopping, public transport
Eligibility:
Assessment for the Occupational Therapy service is available to people whom live, work and study within the BBCHS service boundaries. Clinical services are provided to those individuals who have an assessed need.
Waiting Lists
Currently these services have waiting lists. These are managed on a priority basis.
Referrals
Referrals may come from clients, their families, GP's, health professionals and other agencies.
Fees:
A modest fee applies to this service. Fees are charged according to income.

Opening hours are Monday 8.30 am - Friday 5.00 pm
